The SSC MTS examination is conducted by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for the recruitment of Multi-Tasking staff in various Central government departments of state and Union Territories. Candidates qualifying the Tier I are called for Tier II. Approximately, 10,000 vacancies are filled every year through this recruitment exam. Applicant’s age for the recruitment exam is 18 to 25 & 18 to 27 years. The final selection of candidates will be done on the basis of Tier I, provided they qualify Tier II.

What is SSC MTS full form?


The SSC MTS full form is Staff Selection Commission Multi-Tasking Staff. The MTS exam is conducted by the SSC to fill in various posts of peon, draftsman, gardener, jamadar etc. in government ministries and offices. The SSC MTS is one of India's most popular exams.

SSC conducts the exam for students who are looking for entry-level jobs in the government sector with minimum eligibility criteria. Only candidates who have a 10th standard certificate can appear for the SSC MTS exam. Candidates who get selected as MTS are responsible for conducting various technical and non-technical posts and services as per the requirements in the government organizations.

What is SSC MTS?


The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the MTS to shortlist eligible candidates for the post of Multi-Tasking Staff in various government ministries and officers. The SSC MTS is one of India's most popular and competitive recruitment exams as the minimum eligibility is 10/10+2.

SSC MTS Exam Date 2023

The Commission will release the eligibility, age-limit, vacancies, syllabus and exam pattern in the official notification. SSC MTS 2022-23 (phase 2) will be conducted from June 13 to 20. The regional websites will release the SSC MTS 2022-23 Admit Card four days before the exam date of the candidate.

SSC MTS Recruitment 2023 Notification 

Staff Selection Commission of India (SSC) will shortly SSC MTS 2023 Recruitment Notification pdf to recruit candidates for Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff, and Havaldar (CBIC and CBN). The SSC MTS examination consists of a Computer Based Examination (Objective test). SSC has changed the exam pattern of the SSC MTS exam this year. Now the CBT exam will be held for 270 marks. SSC MTS Educational Qualification

A candidate is required to pass Matriculation (10th class) or its equivalent Exam from a recognized State Board, University or Institute to be eligible to apply for SSC MTS 2023 Exam. 

SSC MTS 2023 Selection Process

The eligible candidates for SSC Multi Tasking Staff recruitment will be shortlisted on the basis of three stages. A candidate needs to qualify in each stage with marks more than the cut-off announced. The three stages to be cleared are as below- 

Stage 1- Paper-1 (Objective)

Stage 2- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST) (only for the post of Havaldar)

SSC MTS 2023 Exam Pattern

The examination of SSC MTS 2023 will be conducted in 2 different levels: Paper-1, PET/PST (only for havaldar). Paper-1 is an online exam that is objective multiple choice question type. 

SSC MTS 2023 Paper-1 Exam Pattern 

The revised SSC MTS Paper-I Exam Pattern has been released along with SSC MTS Notification 2023. There will be Computer-Based Examination which is divided in 2 Sessions. Session-I and Session-II and both the Sessions will be mandatory to be attempted. There will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Session 2 and there will be no negative marking in Session-1.

SSC MTS Educational Qualification 2023

SSC MTS qualification marks are an important factor in determining a candidate's eligibility for the exam. Those who have passed the 10th standard will be able to apply for the SSC MTS 2023 examination. Candidates appearing for their 10th class exam will also be able to fill out the SSC MTS application form. SSC MTS Age Criteria 2023

As per the SSC MTS age limit, candidates must be between the age group prescribed by the SSC. For MTS, the age limit is between 18 to 25 years (Applicants born not before January 2, 1998, and not later than January 1, 2005). For Havaldar in CBN and CBIC (Department of Revenue) and a few posts of MTS, the age limit is between 18-27 years (Applicants born not before January 2, 1996 and not later than January 1, 2005).
