Two Hollywood movies that were released on the same day – Barbie and Oppenheimer – have turned out to be box office hits. Since opening on July 21, 2023, the two films together have collected $1 billion globally. And now, the Barbie movie individually is all set to make $1 billion at the worldwide box office. The Margot Robbie starrer was always ahead of Oppenheimer at the BO, except in India.

The Greta Gerwig directorial created history by becoming the first female lead film to get the biggest opening. It will create a record again if it reaches 1 billion dollars by the end of its third weekend worldwide.

The Warner Bros. and Margot Robbie production is still running successfully in theaters worldwide. If all goes well, by the coming Sunday that is August 7, the Barbie movie will have hit the $1 billion mark worldwide!
Stateside Barbie will make $55 million on its third weekend, and easily cross $400 million by August 3, the film’s 14th day of release.
