DSSSB 2024 : Registration (Started), Dates, Eligibility Criteria, Exam Pattern, Syllabus, Vacancy

DSSSB PGT notification is out on the official website, dsssb.delhi.gov.in. The registration process for DSSSB PGT will start from January 09, 2024. Eligible candidates can apply for the position till February 07, 2024. Candidates must have a master degree in a relevant subject in order to apply for the DSSSB PGT.

The recruitment advertising for the 990 positions of Senior Personal Assistant, Personal Assistant, and Junior Judicial Assistant Recruitment 2024 has been issued by the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB). The online application and fee payment period for the DSSSB SPA, PA, and JJA positions, with advertising number 01/2024, is open to all candidates. The application must be submitted between January 18 and February 8, 2024.

The Delhi Subordinate Service Selection Board (DSSSB) has also released the application forms for the post of Teacher Nursery on its official website. The board has released a total of 1455 vacancies. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can register for it from January 09, 2024, to February 07, 2024.

DSSSB application forms were released on November 21, 2023 for the recruitment of posts such as Warder, Assistant Section Officer, Special Education Teachers, and others. Up till December 20, 2023, eligible applicants may register at dsssb.delhi.gov.in. The registration window is open for DSSSB DASS Grade 2 students as well. Candidates who were issued admit cards earlier for the Tier 1 examination held on June 29, 2014 can apply now again at dsssbonline.nic.in. The board has made available 863 positions as per DSSSB notification 2023. There have been 271 vacancies for the position of Warder, the highest out of all the positions.


The Delhi Subordinate Service Selection Board (DSSSB) will be conducting exam for positions like Junior Labour Welfare Inspector, Manager (IT), Manager (Electrical), Accountant, Deputy Manager (Traffic), and Manager (Traffic) from November 19, 2023. The exam for different posts will continue till November 29, 2023.


DSSSB PRT notification to be released likely in November. Over 2600 DSSSB PRT vacancies will be announced by the board. However, the total number of vacancies are subject to change. Students who are preparing for the DSSSB PRT vacancy can check the eligibility criteria in order to successfully prepare for the exam. 


DSSSB Exam 2024

The Delhi Subordinate Service Selection Board (DSSSB) conducts the DSSSB exam for various teaching and non-teaching posts every year. DSSSB vacancy is released on the official website for candidates preparing for different posts. Aspiring candidates must fulfil the DSSSB eligibility criteria in order to apply for the exam.


The DSSSB application form is yet to be released on the official website. Candidates who successfully submit the application form will receive their DSSSB admit card. It must be noted that an admit card is a mandatory document to carry to the examination centre. 


The DSSSB exam dates are yet to be announced by the conducting body. Meanwhile, candidates must focus on their DSSSB preparation in order to ace the exam. Students must be aware of the DSSSB exam pattern and syllabus to comprehensively prepare for the examination. The DSSSB syllabus (post-wise) is released along with the official notification.


The DSSSB result is announced after the successful conclusion of the examination. Candidates who appeared in the examination will be able to check their results along with the DSSSB cutoff on the official website.


What is DSSSB Exam 2024?

The Delhi Subordinate Service Selection Board, or DSSSB exam is conducted for aspiring candidates who are preparing for various teaching and non-teaching posts. Candidates who are recruited get the opportunity to work in different departments of the NCT Government of Delhi. The DSSSB exam is conducted for recruitment of candidates as Post Graduate Teachers (PGT), Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT), Primary Teacher (PRT), Assistant Teacher (Nursery), Librarian, Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Stenographer Grade II, Junior Engineer (JE), Junior Environmental Engineer (JEE), Accountant, Office Superintendent, Section Officer, and many others.


Candidates who are interested must also fulfil the DSSSB eligibility criteria in order to apply for the exam. Students will be rejected at any point of time during the selection process if they do not meet the eligibility requirements.

DSSSB Eligibility 2024

The DSSSB eligibility is published on the official website of the Delhi Subordinate Service Selection Board (DSSSB). Students must meet the standards specific to the post they are applying for because the eligibility requirements for various positions may differ. Interested candidates can check the eligibility criteria for different posts below:

Educational Qualification

Assistant Engineer (Civil/Electrical)

  • Candidates must have a Civil Engineering/Electrical Engineering degree (as per the requirement) from a recognised university or institute.
  • Candidates should have a relevant experience of 2 years.
  • Candidates must be aged between 18-30 years.

Junior Engineer (Civil/Electrical)

  • Candidates must have a Civil Engineering/Electrical Engineering degree (as per the requirement) from a recognised university or institute.
  • Candidates with a three-year diploma in Civil/Electrical Engineering are also eligible.
  • Candidates should have a relevant experience of 2 years.

PGT (Biology, Chemistry, Commerce, English, Punjabi, Sociology, Economics, Hindi, Political Science, Agriculture, Urdu, History, Maths, Physics, Sanskrit, Geography)



  • Master Degree in a relevant subject
  • Degree/Diploma in Education

Note: If a candidate has a PhD degree in a relevant subject, then they do not require a degree/diploma in education. Additionally, the aspirant must obtain his or her B.Ed. or B.T. degree within three years of joining as teacher. 

PGT (Physical Education)

  • Candidates must have B.P.Ed/BPE or B.Sc in Health and Physical Education with a minimum 55% marks as aggregate.
  • Candidates must also have completed a 2-year M.P.Ed degree from any recognized institution.

PGT (Computer Science)

  • Candidates must have either M.E/M.Tech degree from any recognized institution.
  • Candidates having M.Sc/MCA plus one-year teaching experience can also apply for the exam.
  • Also, candidates having B.E/B.Tech degree along with post graduate diploma in computer application and one-year teaching experience can also apply for the exam.

Librarian

  • Candidates must have a bachelor degree or equivalent diploma in library science to apply for the DSSSB exam.
  • Also, candidates must have a one-year certificate in computer application or experience of two years in library service/computerization of a library.

TGT Social Science

Candidates having their degree in History / Political Science/ Economics / Business Studies / Sociology/ Geography/ Psychology in their graduation can apply for TGT Social Science.

TGT Computer Science

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Application (BCA) from a Recognized University.

OR

BE/B.Tech (Computer Science/Information Technology) from a recognized university or institution.

OR

Candidates having graduation in any subject and ‘A’ level course from DOEAC are also eligible to apply for TGT Computer Science

PRT

  • Candidates applying for the DSSSB PRT must have scored at least 50% of their overall marks in the 10+2 grade from a recognised board.
  • Candidates must also be enrolled in a certificate or degree programme, such as a B.El.Ed., elementary education diploma, education diploma, or special education diploma, with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 50% from an accredited institution.
  • Additionally, the candidate must have passed the CBSE-conducted CTET exam 1

Assistant Teacher (Nursery)

  • Class 12 or equivalent with a minimum of 45 percent marks
  • Candidates must have two-year diploma/certificate in Nursery Teacher Education Program or they can have B.Ed degree (Nursery)
  • Candidates must have passed Hindi subject at the secondary level.

DSSSB Application Form 2024

The DSSSB application forms are released on the official website. Candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria can fill out the application form. Interested candidates can check the steps to fill out the application form below:

  • Enter the information, including name, birthdate, mobile phone number, and email address.
  • Candidates will get a One Time Password (OTP) on their registered mobile number and email address after their information has been submitted.

Note:

  • The exam for the DSSSB is given as a computer-based test (CBT).
  • There are multiple-choice questions in the exam.
  • There will be separate Sections 1 and 2. Section 1 will include questions on general knowledge, mental ability and reasoning skills, numerical aptitude and data interpretation skills, Hindi and English language and comprehension skills, and general awareness.
  • Section 2 will have 200 MCQs from the chosen subject and will be pertinent to the core subject
  • The duration of the exam will be 3 hours.
  • One mark will be given for each question. Additionally, each incorrect response receives a 0.25-marks deduction.

DSSSB Admit Card 2024

Following the successful conclusion of the application procedure, the Delhi Subordinate Service Selection Board (DSSSB) will publish the DSSSB admit card on the official website. Typically, the admit card is made available 10 to 15 days before the DSSSB exam. Using their login information, applicants can download their admission cards.
