SOF NSO Level 1 Result 2023: The Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) declared the NSO Level 1 result 2023 on January 3, 2024. The SOF level 2 results sent to the schools, which consists of a participation certificate along with the Student Performance Report (SPR) for each participating student. NSO Level 2 Result 2023: Tie-Breaking Criteria
In the NSO results 2023-24, if two or more students score equal marks, then, in this case, a student who scored higher marks in the section with higher priority is awarded the rank. The priority section is given below.

- Student Performance Report (SPR) for each participating student.
Every student who appears in SOF NSO is provided with a Student Performance Report (SPR). An SPR is a detailed analysis of how the student attempted the 1st level Olympiad exam.
The objective of SPR is to share with the student and her / his parents, analysis of student’s answers. This is expected to enable the student understand her/his strengths and areas requiring improvement in absolute terms and also on a competitive scale consisting of lacs of students of her/his class who appeared for the Olympiad.
Student Performance Report (SPR) consists of five sections:
- Section A – provides the student’s marks and rank achieved in School / City / Zone / Region at international level
- Section B – provides a past Year-wise analysis of the student
- Section C – provides a percentage score analysis of the student with a comparison at Class, City, Zone and international level
- Section D – provides a comparison of average marks analysis at the School, City, Zone and international level
- Section E – provides a Topic-wise performance analysis of the student

NSO level 2 examination
A student must need to fulfil the below-mentioned criteria in order to qualify for the NSO level II examination.
Criteria 1: Students of each class, who will secure the top 5% rank in the first level of NSO.
Criteria 2: Students who will hole the top 25 ranks from each class in each zone.
Criteria 3: From all the participating schools, class topper from each class who has obtained 50% marks in the level 1 examination. Here, at least 10 students have to appear in the examination. If the registration is done section-wise, then irrespective of the section, students who will score the highest marks will be eligible for the NSO level II examination.
